Major A. T. M. Haider

 Very few people may know the man wearing this round marked leather Jacket. Along with Arora and Indian officers, he was also present at the surrender ceremony of Niazi that day as a representative of the Liberation War. Birdarpe took Niazi to the surrender stage. He is Major ATM Haider (the next hero Uttam Lieutenant Colonel ATM Haider), Sector 2 Commander. ATM Haider is the heroic son of Kishoreganj. He passed SSC from Ramananda High School & HSC from Gurudayal Government College. He has completed BSC from Islamia College, Lahore. Then he joined in Pakistan Army. He was trained Commando from Pakistan Army.  His outstanding heroism was in the war of liberation. In mid-April, he came to Kishoreganj with Indian commandos and 7/8 troops and consolidated the resistance by destroying the Tarerghat Bridge and the Musulli Railway Bridge on the Kishoreganj-Mymensingh highway.   ছবিটি ১৯৩৭ সালে চেলসি বনাম চার্লটনের ম্যাচের। ঘন কুয়াশার কারণে রেফারি মাঝপথে খেলা পরিত্যক্ত ঘোষণা করেন। সবাই ড্রেসিং রুমে ফিরে যায়। কিন্তু চেলসির গোলরক্ষক স্যাম বাট্রাম রয়ে যান গোল পাহারায়। কুয়াশা যত বাড়ছে-তার সতর্কতাও তত বেশি বাড়ছে। পেছনে মানুষের কোলাহলে তিনি শুনতে পাননি রেফারির খেলা সমাপ্তির বাঁশী। অনেকক্ষণ পর- মাঠের একজন নিরাপত্তা কর্মী এসে তাঁকে জানায় ম্যাচটি প্রায় পনের মিনিট আগেই শেষ হয়ে গেছে। স্যাম বাট্রাম বলেন- না এটা হতে পারেনা। আমি বিশ্বাস করিনা। খেলা শেষ হয়ে গেলে বন্ধুরা অবশ্যই আমাকে বলতো। আমাকে মাঠে একা রেখে ওরা চলে যেতোনা। একজন মানুষও কি ছিলোনা- যে আমার খোঁজ করবে। এরপর, সত্যি যখন বুঝলেন-আসলেই খেলা শেষ হয়ে গেছে। তখন, স্যাম গভীর এক দুঃখ পেলেন। খেলা শেষ হওয়ার জন্য না। বরং বন্ধুরা যে সত্যিই তাকে না জানিয়ে চলে গেছে সে জন্য। যাদের জন্য তিনি গোল পাহারায় দাঁড়িয়ে ছিলেন- তারা সবাই চলে গেলো। কেউ তার কথা একটিবার মনেও রাখলোনা। জীবনটাও বুঝি এমনি এক খেলার মাঠ। যেখানে সময় দিয়ে, সামর্থ্য দিয়ে যাদের ডিফেন্ড করা প্রয়োজন হয়ে দাঁড়ায়- সামান্য কুয়াশার পরিস্থিতিতে তারাই এভাবে সব কিছু ভ

  Dr. Mubarak Ahmad Khan is former Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) and Director General of Atomic Energy Research Establishment, Bangladesh Atomic Energy Commission. He is now working as Scientific Advisor of Bangladesh Jute Mills Corporation, Ministry of Jute and Textiles, Bangladesh. He has completed B.Sc. and M.Sc. in Chemistry and PhD. in Polymer and Radiation Chemistry. He is working in several promising areas of nanotechnology, material science, biodegradable polymers, biomedical science, applied science etc. His focus is to develop sustainable technologies related to environment and human health. He worked in Germany ( Technical University of Berlin, Fraunhofer Institute of Applied Polymer Research) as DAAD and AvH fellow, in Japan as JSPS and MIF Fellow, in USA (Michigan State University) as visiting scientist, in Australia (University of New South Wells) as IAEA fellow. Cholera in Bangladesh.

V ibrio cholera, more commonly known as cholera, is a virulent bacteria that causes the body to flush all available liquids into the intestines. Those infected with cholera suffer from violent bouts of diarrhoea and vomiting, and without treatment, the sickness will likely be fatal. Symptoms can worsen quickly and organ failure can ensue within hours of the patient beginning to feel sick. Cholera is treatable, and after years of research, there is now an oral cholera vaccine (OCV), which can be used to provide immediate, short-term protection from the disease. In the case of an outbreak, this vaccine can give aid groups enough time to improve access to clean water and sanitation before the disease has a chance to spread. Cholera is present in 70 countries worldwide, putting over one billion people at risk of contracting the disease. In the 21st century, there has been a World Health Organization (WHO) initiative to stockpile OCVs in case of an outbreak. Creating the stockpile of vaccin
